Occlusion & Protection
Vaseline / A+D → Very strong occlusion (can be useful for protecting the fresh wound in the first few days).  
Tattoo Hada → Moderate to light protection through dimethicone combined with oils and butters. Lower risk of trapping bacteria and a much less heavy, stifling feel on the skin.

Moisturizing Approach
Vaseline / A+D → Pure occlusion only (simply locks in existing moisture).  
Tattoo Hada → Multi-level hydration with humectants (glycerin, propanediol), emollients (shea butter, squalane, macadamia oil), and skin-barrier lipids. Draws moisture in while actively replenishing the barrier.

Barrier Repair
Vaseline / A+D → Indirect (only provides a protective layer).
